This month, we celebrate Evolution’s 20th birthday.

All our employees, past and present have made Evolution what it is today.  And from this, many have had great careers.  Including me.

For me, it started with a friend, who started a traffic management company in Auckland New Zealand.  He evolved his company from working in the film industry, into events and roading which then became a household name for major events in Auckland in the early 2000’s.  I was very lucky to be one of the first employees with guidance from Nick, Pappa, Cava, Eddy and Andrew – some of the originals of Action Traffic / Evolution.

Nick was my first ever STMS, and I still remember my first job – 0430am start, kitted out in full PPE and straight into work on a film shoot on High Street  & Courthouse Lane in Auckland.  Boom.  Straight into it.  No mucking around. Nicks words were to me “Keep up with me and you will be fine.  If you can’t do that, then you aren’t going hack this job’.

And still true to this day, TTM is still about communication, been polite and professional and keeping people happy and safe.

From that day to now, 24 years later, I have worked in roles with some sort of TTM involvement, which has gone from TTM event management to major event management, to Director of Events to TTM Construction management and then a full circle back to Evolution Traffic Management I am the Traffic Manager now.

A big part of Evolution is its legacy for so many people in the TTM industry, if they look back to where did they start their TTM journey – its probably Evolution.

I had been asked to come back to Evolution in 2021.  Three years and 2 months later, here I am with Evolution, celebrating its 20 years.

I just want to say thank you to the people I first worked with when I started in the TTM industry, and also thank those who I work with today.

You all have true morals, honesty, pride, and the drive.

Thank you Evolution
